Why do many women today start experiencing more health issues than ever before?

You would think that with today’s knowledge in modern science should enhance our overall well being. However women being on a constant stress mode and having more and more responsibilites, it is inevitable that many women suffer from a burnout which includes complaints such as fatigue, anxiety and sleeping problems. Why is it that it seems that more women are affected than men?

Nowadays we live in a heavy masculine society where women are expected to become more masculine than ever in order to cope the many tasks they are given.

Working full or part time, building a successful career, while still taking care of the household, social relationships, doing household chores and in some cases raising children from babies to young adults and giving the rest of free time and energy to their partner.

While still being young, most women may not realize yet that this is not a sustainable lifestyle. Fulfilling 2 to 3 jobs (1. career 2. housewife and 3. nanny ) is nowadays the norm for most women while not realizing they are bound to head a burn-out in later years when reaching their late thirties.

Women especially in the big cities that is highly ‘westernised’ where capitalism is highly regarded are expected to contribute to the economy by having a ‘worthy job’ outside their housework, giving birth to children and taking care of them from infant to young adult. In a society dominated by men, a job as a ‘housewife’ or ‘mother’ are simply not seen as a respectable ‘career’ and does not contribute directly to the economy as much as paid salary job. Even though all women agree that motherhood and housewife is a 24/7 duty and takes more mentally and physical energy from them a simple 9 to 5 job.

One must understand women belong to Yin and men to Yang. This means women have different qualities than men. The one is not stronger or weaker than the other. Women physically are typically built more soft and fragile compared to the more robust and strong body of a man. However in every Yin there is Yang element. Women who are in touch with their feminity side are more soft outside, but hard and firm on the inside. Men who are hard on the outside are more soft in the inside.

Now adding that women who are more physically weak compared to men, especially the one with children, are typically expected to do at least two jobs, which is taking care of the house (and children) and outside the household by having a career. This in long term will only lead to physical tiredness and mental fatigue in women since they are more fragile physically and carry twice the responsibilities compared to men. This is how burnouts in women are typically born in today’s modern society.

Women are expected to the same job of typical alpha men (career focused) but also doing the tasks they enjoy like taking care of the household, social relationships, friends, children, and make a happy home for their family. This makes women confused and frustrated and at the end while they still do not understand clearly what they are doing ‘wrong’ and why they end up in a burnout since this seems the ‘way’ of doing things for women in today’s society.

The truth is, women do not need to prove anything like men have to in society. Their worth should not be refelcted in their career and salary. Men’s DNA is made to bring the more tangible to the table whereas women bring something different and of greater value that is intangible which is warmth, a true home and spirituality and which is eventually the most important thing to live for not the material aspect of life.

It’s the women’s warmth and energy which is able to make every place like a real home….

It’s a women birth right to enjoy life and receive the best things in life. If a woman wants to work that is fine, but when ‘having to work’ to support the family that is a different story and women need to realize this and if this is why they are having a burnout.

Many women in modern society do not understand what they are doing ‘wrong' or against their nature that make them feel tired, anxious. In western society women are mostly seen as the weaker sex are not taught that being soft and feminine is a weak sign resulting that they should behave more masculine in order to get more respect and to face all the tasks they are given and (doing lots of tasks at home and work place, shouldering financial responsibilities, etc. ). A woman’s self worth is reflected in their career and salary. However this is not how it should be. A woman’s worth goes beyond the tangible assets and is rather the intangible things in life. Which is the most vlauable and worth to live for. ….

However suppressing our natural core can only lead to frustration in women and many mental and health problems such as a burnout! This again will have inevitably influence on the relationship with their partner.

Most women do not have an idea what they might do ‘wrong’ in their life and they should just accept the many tasks they are given in daily life since it is already so integrated for many years (working, housework, organising social events for the family, raising children, etc. ). Which is if you realise this, is simply out of proportion compared to the responsiblity of the men which main responsiblity to focus on their career and the ability to rest at home that most of the time is taken care by the women. This is not the fault of either sexes, it is just in our DNA to behave more Yin or Yang or feminine of masculine.

This modern ‘disease’ is more and more used to describe a combination of mental and physical exhaustion of a person. Especially in recent years especially in more developed countries. Taking artificial hormones has unfortunately so normalized in the Netherlands that teenage girls are educated by the school system once they have a boyfriend. This does not only put the women’s hormones out of balance, disturbing the natural menstrual cycle , but can also damage the female reproduction as well as her health in later life.
