What is traditional Chinese medicine -TCM?

According to the principles of all Chinese medicine, good health exists when the body is in balance and its energy can flow freely. The term 'Qi' refers to energy, the life energy that is said to energize the body. The term "balance" refers to the relative factors of yin and yang - the Taoist counterforces of the universe. In an ideal state, yin and yang in all their forms are perfectly balanced in every part of the body. However, external (such as weather conditions, accidents, etc.) or internal factors (fatigue, negative emotions such as stress, etc.) can disturb this balance, which can lead to illness. Chinese medical diagnosis and treatment involves identifying the factors that are out of balance and trying to bring them back into harmony. Diagnosis is made by "listening" to the pulse (in other words, taking the pulse with extraordinary care and sensitivity), observing different parts of the body such as the tongue, palpating, and asking a long series of questions. Using acupuncture and / or Chinese herbs, the disrupted Qi is treated in a holistic way for better health from within.
